•Be an advocate for the organization in the community, enhancing its visibility and attracting new supporters.
•Identify new sponsorship, fundraising and grant opportunities.
•Identify, cultivate, and solicit potential donors, including individuals, corporations and foundations.
•Collaborate with board members and staff to create and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy.

Andrew Tyzbir
President
Andrew has been a Valencia resident since 1984. He is married with two adult daughters and is a Realtor with Pinnacle Estate Properties specializing in residential and commercial properties throughout the Los Angeles and Ventura county areas.In his free time, he enjoys cooking and gardening. His beautiful wife Idelle is an artist and a teacher with ARTree.
Melissa Lackman
Treasurer
Melissa grew up surrounded by artists and musicians and has always loved art. She has been directly involved in nonprofit management at the board level since 1995, serving a variety of organizations.
In addition to her studio practice, she has a passion for children's mental health and travel. Melissa also servers as Chief Business Officer of International Encaustic Artists.
Sheri Carlson
Education Chair
Sheri finds great joy in seeing the impact that art and creativity have on the lives of our community.
She has a background in microbiology and food science, but has always been drawn to learning new ways to incorporate art into her life.
She loves to paint in watercolor in her free time.
ARTree family events are a favorite of hers, watching all ages experience the joys of creating together.
Kay Kaminski
Marketing/Communications
Kay is a visual artist, with formal studies in photography and graphic design.
She studied secondary English Education at Michigan State University and has a teaching certificate. She started as a volunteer, then became an instructor with ARTree in 2013.
Creatively, she works in collage and printmaking, and hopes to inspire the students of ARTree in those mediums.
Brieanne Kelly
Secretary
Growing up surrounded by a family of artists, Brieanne developed a passion for the arts that has shaped her life. Her appreciation for artistic expression and its transformative power has fueled her desire to share this passion with others, and to foster a lifelong love of the arts in her own daughter. As a dedicated veteran of the USAF, Brieanne's commitment to serving extends beyond the military to include her community. Her passion for the arts is not merely a personal interest; it is a driving force behind her desire to make a positive impact on the world.
José Barba
Events
José is an artist who is best known for his landscapes and seascapes. He works in a variety of mediums such as oils, acrylics, and pastels. He is a member of the Santa Clarita Artists Association. He has a passion for teaching and loves sharing his techniques with students of all ages. He has lived in Santa Clarita for 37 years, married and has 2 daughters and 2 grandchildren.
